Job Title: Maintenance Operative

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operative to join our team at Bannatyne Health Club. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across our premises.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, swimming pool, and fitness equipment.
  • Monitor and coordinate with external contractors to ensure the longevity and reliability of equipment.
  • Address and resolve maintenance issues promptly, such as fixing leaks, electrical faults, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoot problems and determine the most effective solutions.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and club policies.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a maintenance role.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of building systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and good attention to detail.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks that involve lifting, bending, and being on your feet for extended periods.
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications:

A diploma or vocational qualification in a related field, along with knowledge and experience in plumbing and joinery, would be advantageous. A 17th Edition Electrical qualification or equivalent would also be beneficial.
