Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our EYFS Department in a primary school in Havering, London. The successful candidate will work closely with the Class Teachers and Early Years Practitioners to provide support and assistance to children in EYFS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with general teaching assistant duties, including supporting children with Maths and Literacy/Phonics
  • Work with children in small groups and one-to-one, providing individualized support and guidance
  • Support children with mild SEN, working closely with the SENCO and Class Teachers
  • Contribute to the development of a creative and enriching learning environment, aligned with the EYFS curriculum
  • Collaborate with the EYFS team to plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons

Requirements:

  • Experience working in EYFS, either in a primary school or private nursery setting
  • Good level of English and Maths, with the ability to support children with literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, with a positive and supportive attitude
  • Commitment to providing high-quality support and guidance to children in EYFS
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills and knowledge in early years education
