Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Forest Ranger to join our Grounds Services Team at Center Parcs. As a Senior Forest Ranger, you will play a key role in the effective management and supervision of our forest landscape, ensuring the highest level of guest care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Ground Services Manager in the management and supervision of the department, ensuring efficient and disciplined working practices.
  • Oversee all aspects of forestry and estate work, including wildlife and biodiversity surveys, as detailed within our forest management plan and ongoing maintenance programme.
  • Carry out and manage your own key task areas under the guidance of the Ground Services Manager.
  • Participate in the department's call-out rota as the senior representative of the department as required.
  • Attend to additional duties during periods of adverse weather conditions.

Requirements

  • NVQ level 2 in Horticulture, Forestry, Countryside Management, or equivalent experience/prepared to undertake training.
  • Good knowledge of natural history and an interest in nature conservation.
  • Previous experience in the use of agricultural, forestry, and horticultural machinery, along with a certified competency in the use of pesticides.
  • Full manual driving license, held for a minimum of 6 months.

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience.
