Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Team Leader to join our team in Thirsk. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturing business and take on a leadership role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and train a team of production staff to achieve high productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure production targets are met, quality levels are maintained, and improvements are implemented where possible.
  • Coordinate and control the production process to ensure timely delivery of products within budget.
  • Provide support, training, and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Evaluate and improve production processes using 5S and Lean/Kaizen methods to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Requirements

  • A minimum of people management experience in manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate and train staff effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues promptly and maintain quality standards.
  • Confident use of modern manufacturing techniques such as 5S and Kaizen methods.
