About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IDVA Officer to join our team at Potter Johnson. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a real difference in the lives of women affected by domestic abuse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive support to women facing domestic abuse, including face-to-face, telephone, and email interventions.
  • Advise women on their options and signpost them to relevant services, ensuring they can access the support they need.
  • Work closely with colleagues and other agencies to deliver training and workshops, promoting a comprehensive understanding of domestic abuse.
  • Participate in multi-agency working groups, focus groups, and conduct reviews of the project, contributing to the development of effective strategies to support survivors.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 12 months' experience in a similar role, with a relevant qualification such as domestic violence, criminal justice, law, or social work.
  • An excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues, with experience working within a related field.
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding practice, procedures, and legislation, including a deep understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence.
