About the Role

StartMonday is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join their team as a Service & Installation Engineer. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing commercial and industrial laundry equipment at customer locations, minimising downtime and providing exceptional customer service.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Install, commission and test commercial and industrial laundry equipment at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance and preventing equipment breakdowns.
  2. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, both mechanical and electrical.
  3. Perform necessary repairs, replacing faulty components such as motors, pumps, valves and control panels as needed.
  4. Calibrate and adjust equipment settings to ensure accurate operation and efficient performance.
  5. Keep accurate records of service and maintenance activities, including completed work orders, parts used and hours worked.
  6. Provide technical support and assistance to customers, answering their questions and guiding them on equipment operation and maintenance.
About You

We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician with:

  • At least 2 years of experience in field service engineering or installation engineering.
  • Familiarity with electrical single and three-phase knowledge.
  • Ability to use a multi-meter and read schematic diagrams and wiring diagrams.
  • Mechanical or gas engineer experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and customer focus.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • A full UK driver's licence and ability to travel to customer sites across the UK.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on ACS Gas certification). The benefits include:

  • Overtime payments.
  • Gas training provided if not Gas qualified.
  • 30 days' holiday (including statutory holidays).
  • Company vehicle, tools and uniform.
  • Occasional overnight stays within the United Kingdom and Europe.
