Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our team. As the primary IT contact for the property, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our colleagues and guests. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting system and network problems, liaising with external support providers, and ensuring the security and integrity of our IT systems.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Support: Provide high-level technical support and assistance to all colleagues and guests, ensuring that all IT-related issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
- System Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot system and network problems by diagnosing and solving faults, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to our operations.
- External Liaison: Liaise with external support providers to ensure complex faults are resolved effectively, and that our IT systems are always up-to-date and secure.
- System Administration: Build, configure, and setup computers for staff, perform new user onboarding tasks, and system inductions, ensuring that all staff have the necessary IT skills to perform their roles effectively.
- Server and Network Management: Configure, support, and troubleshoot servers, printers, mobile and desk phones, ensuring that all IT systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure Active Directory, Security Groups, and User Permissions are accurately up-to-date, and that all IT policies are properly followed, ensuring the security and integrity of our IT systems.
- Project Support: Support the Executive Team with projects, ensuring timelines are adhered to, and that all IT-related tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory records of all Hotel IT equipment, ensuring that all assets are accurately accounted for and that our IT systems are always up-to-date.
- Compliance and Governance: Maintain and review all compliance requirements around Cyber security and GDPR, ensuring that our IT systems are always compliant with the latest regulations and standards.
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience with Desktop & Server admin across the Microsoft stack, including MS 365.
- IT Security: Experience working with IT Security & Network infrastructure, and an overall appreciation of end-point system security.
- ISP Solutions: Overview of ISP solutions and connectivity requirements.
- Hospitality Experience: Experience of Hospitality products such as PMS and POS systems and associated interfaces is essential, with Opera/Simphony experience preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical staff and guests.
- Teamwork: Experience in a similar role in a similar environment, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
