At Premdor, we are seeking a highly skilled Production Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating an efficient and achievable production plan that allows our operations to run smoothly and meet our strategic business KPIs.

Working closely with the Purchasing department, you will ensure that raw materials are available to support the plan. Your focus will be on reviewing and updating minimal inventory and re-order parameters to ensure that finished goods are held at optimal levels.

You will create a plan that meets customer requirements, both internally and externally. This includes supporting the Production Planning Manager/Department in all aspects of Production Planning, working closely with the planning and materials manager and other departments to produce daily production planning schedules.

As a Production Planner, you will work with the production team to ensure that production can meet current and ongoing demand requirements. You will also be responsible for preparing relevant reports around slab material availability and analysing data from various sources to develop and provide management information.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Reviewing and updating minimal inventory and re-order parameters
  • Creating a plan that meets customer requirements
  • Supporting the Production Planning Manager/Department
  • Working closely with the planning and materials manager and other departments
  • Preparing relevant reports around slab material availability
  • Analysing data from various sources

Requirements for this role include:

  • Experience of working in a production planning environment
  • Self-starter, able to act on own initiative
  • Tenacious and resilient
  • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Strong IT skills - Word and Excel and the ability to easily adapt to new systems/packages
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with people at all levels, internally and externally
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (including Maths and English)
  • 3 years' or more experience in a similar role
