MRI Radiographer Position

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Candover Radiology team, working closely with the Clinical Lead Radiographer and the Radiology Manager to deliver a high-quality and efficient MRI and CT service for the Candover Clinic, with additional responsibilities for performing some X-ray and DEXA radiography.
Working with the Clinical Lead Radiographer, the post holder will ensure a high-quality and efficient MRI and CT service. Previous experience in cross-sectional imaging is preferred, but training will be provided if not.
- To perform the full range of MRI and CT imaging examinations, including Cardiac, Body, Angio, MSK, etc. The majority of our cross-sectional patients are Private Outpatients.
- To perform the full range of X-ray imaging examinations, including paediatric imaging and long leg examinations currently performed in main X-ray. The majority of patients are private outpatients.
- To perform all Dexa imaging requirements for the Candover Clinic.
- To independently assess and vet X-ray referrals following Department policy, and guidelines where appropriate.
- To supervise and assist specialist and junior radiographers and students.
- To undertake examinations to a high standard, across a range of clinical specialties, upon a range of patient types, both as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multi-professional team, in a manner that meets professional, departmental, and legal standards and requirements.
- To give IV injections of MRI and CT contrast agents, including the use of specialist injector pumps. Training will be provided where required.
