As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the effective operation of our Supported Living services, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality, person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the delivery of quality care by continually assessing our residents' needs and wishes and developing the service to enhance their quality of life.
- Direct staff management and ensure the smooth running of the care home, maintaining a positive and supportive work environment.
- Take on accountability for the home, ensuring compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements, striving to achieve the best possible care rating and other external recognition of quality.
- Ensure the safeguarding of service users and delivering optimum levels of care and support, prioritising their needs and well-being.
- Manage the financial effectiveness of the home, maintaining the budget and identifying opportunities to increase profitability and reduce costs.
- Take on an active leadership role, supporting the operation of a twenty-four hour business and promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Work with the operational support team to organise rotas and ensure effective fulfilment of shifts, ensuring that our residents receive the care they need, when they need it.
- Developing your people, building a strong and effective team, supported by a centralised recruitment and training team, who will be recruiting and developing the right people for you to grow your business and support their career development.
- Facilities & Property management of a state-of-the-art care facility, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the home and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.
- Experience of working in a care management role within Supported Living (LD) / Residential Care, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care.
- Managing teams/people and the ability to delegate tasks and performance manage/coach/mentor staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ideally hold a Registered Managers Award - NVQ level 4/5 in Health & Social Care or equivalent and have or be willing to work towards the Leadership and Management Award.
- Flexible and agile approach to work, with the ability to lead from the frontline and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Strong experience within Learning Disabilities, with a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by individuals with LD.
- Knowledge/Experience of Positive Behavioural Support implementation would be highly desirable, as would a proven track record of delivering positive CQC ratings in previous roles.
- Must be a car driver and car owner, with a valid driving licence and a reliable vehicle.
