About the Role

AWE is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Field Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Monitoring area, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular scientific collection and analysis of environmental samples, including radiological and chemical monitoring of aqueous, airborne particulate, sediments, and organic samples.
  • Assisting in the development and review of environmental programs to support Best Available Techniques (BAT) studies and statements.
  • Supporting the bulk waste characterisation programs, including planning, scheduling, and sentencing waste using statistical reporting.
  • Data manipulation and upload to support permit compliance.
  • Overview of laboratory analytical processes.

The Skills You Will Bring

We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in environmental research and a degree in Environmental Science, Natural Sciences, Geography, Chemistry, or Environmental Management. You will have a solid understanding of environmental principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
