We are looking for a skilled and compassionate veterinary surgeon to join our team in Cleator Moor, Cumbria. As a vital member of our dynamic and growing veterinary practice, you will provide exceptional care to animals while working in a collaborative environment.

About the Role
  • This is an exciting opportunity to work as a veterinarian in a supportive and progressive team.

Our ideal candidate will be able to perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals, conduct surgical procedures as needed, and provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on various animals.
  • Conducting surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries.
  • Collaborating with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Providing guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.
  • Maintaining accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.
Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of up to £75,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as annual leave, CPD allowance, and professional fees paid.

Requirements:
  • Veterinary degree from a recognized institution.
  • Valid veterinary license to practice in the UK.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Compassionate and caring approach to animals.
