Trainee – Leveraged Syndicate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee to join our European Leveraged Capital Markets team at Societe Generale. The team is responsible for arranging, underwriting, and syndicating non-investment grade loans, bonds, and private subordinated debt across the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support senior members of the team in underwriting, structuring, and executing Societe Generale's leveraged transactions in EMEA.
  • Provide support on both analytical and presentational work, produce reliable and accurate market data and comparable analysis, assist senior colleagues, and promote integrated financing solutions via the preparation of materials for the Leveraged Capital Markets teams.
  • Assist in the creation of syndication and road-show materials, and help to prepare presentations.
Requirements:
  • A good basic knowledge of and interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, and related geopolitical events.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.
  • An excellent level of written and verbal English – additional languages are advantageous but not essential.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to ask questions and learn new skills, with excellent communication and presentational skills.
  • The ability to be adaptable and flexible, and work well as part of a diverse team in a busy office environment.
