We are seeking an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager to lead our defence projects team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a vital role in driving project success and delivering exceptional results.

Job Description

As a Strategic Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the entire project life cycle from initiation to closure, ensuring effective strategy development and execution.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery within budget, time, scope, and quality.
  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans, including budget trackers, risk registers, and other relevant artefacts.
  • Engaging with internal stakeholders, including supply chain, procurement, quality, planners, data analysts, engineering, manufacturing, and more.
  • Serving as the primary procurement partner and integrated member of the programme team.
  • Communicating programme status, risks, and mitigations to management groups at functional and programme reviews.
  • Leading procurement gate-reviews, managing critical supply issues, influencing programme and manufacturing sector reviews.
  • Demonstrating strong procurement competencies, including supplier evaluation, risk assessment, category management, negotiation, and risk management.
What We're Looking For

We seek a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Procurement Manager who can bring their expertise and passion to drive project success. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong Microsoft Office suite skills, particularly for data analysis and presentations.
  • Experience using various project management tools, such as MS Project and Primavera.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
