VM Manager Job Description

Monsoon Accessorize is seeking a skilled VM Manager to lead the global visual merchandising strategy for our brand. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating compelling and commercial displays and layouts that drive sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Visual Merchandising Strategy: Develop and implement effective visual merchandising directives for UK and international markets, working closely with the Head Office specialists and Brand Directors.
  • Communication: Issue weekly update communications to the VM/Trade focus for the Global business, ensuring seamless information flow.
  • Workload Planning: Prioritize workload in line with company requirements, organizing and implementing plans effectively, and continually measuring and reviewing progress.
  • Innovation: Proactively seek new techniques, POS, and display equipment to enhance visual merchandising.
  • Budget Management: Forecast yearly and half-yearly budget requirements with clear business case reasoning, recording and monitoring spend across all VM areas.
  • Team Management: Hold regular 1-to-1s with immediate team members to ensure tasks are completed on time and in line with the critical path, communicate with key stakeholders via fortnightly VM Strategy meetings, and cascade relevant information to VM Coaches and Retail teams.
  • Administration: Ensure all company paperwork and reporting is administered and delivered efficiently.
  • Business Awareness: Stay conversant with the Business strategy, proactively seeking innovative ways to improve departmental efficiency in line with Company goals.
Requirements:
  • Senior VM Experience: A sound experience, knowledge, and keen interest in Visual Merchandising.
  • Creativity: A creative flair for developing commercial and effective new visual direction, adding Theatre to stores, and aligning with the online business.
  • Technical Skills: Competent with all Microsoft Office packages, including In-design and Photoshop.
  • Communication & Influencing: Excellent communication and influencing skills to effectively interact with multiple stakeholders/Directors, internal departments, and international markets.
  • Numeracy & Attention to Detail: Strong numerate and attention-to-detail abilities.
  • Proactivity & Workload Planning: Proactive and able to plan own workload effectively.
  • Management Experience: Essential management experience, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in head office.
