About the RoleWe are seeking a visionary leader to deliver outstanding care and enhance the life prospects of young people. As a Registered Manager of this Ofsted-rated GOOD home, you will be responsible for creating tailored care plans, collaborating with recruitment, and developing systems to involve young people in decisions about their care.
Key Responsibilities:- Create personalized care plans for each young person, addressing their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.
- Collaborate with recruitment to hire, induct, and develop a dedicated team, ensuring consistency for the young people.
- Develop systems to involve young people in decisions about their care.
- Assign Key Workers to implement childcare plans.
- Set and monitor high-quality care standards in line with National Minimum Standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.
- Address complaints and child protection concerns promptly.
- Work with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure the welfare of young people.
- Attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings.
- Ensure children receive the highest standard of care.

- At least 2 years in residential child care, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to begin within 6 months.
- Familiarity with The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership, planning, organizing, and budget management.
- Confident in both written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties.
- Full UK driving license required.
