Toolmaker Job Description

Carbon 60 is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our team. As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for manufacturing parts to engineering drawings and providing support for day-to-day manufacturing issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Competent with manual centre lathes and manual mills
  • Able to read and understand 2D drawings
  • Experienced with surface and cylindrical grinding
  • Experienced within CNC machining an advantage

Additional responsibilities include creating and maintaining production documentation, identifying solutions for manufacturing issues, and assisting in the design of fixturing and tooling requirements.

Requirements:
  • UK Passport holder
  • SC clearance
  • CAD CAM knowledge an advantage
  • Wire EDM experience an advantage
  • Press tool maintenance experience an advantage

Working hours are 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:00 and Friday 08:00-12:00.
