Facilities Electrical Manager

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Infrastructure Manager to oversee the electrical systems within our datacenter facilities. This role involves ensuring the reliability and integrity of our electrical infrastructure.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in managing and maintaining electrical systems, including power distribution units, generators, and UPS systems. They will conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance, identify and rectify electrical faults and anomalies promptly.
A key aspect of this role will be monitoring electrical systems through the use of building management systems and other relevant tools, generating reports on electrical system performance, and proposing improvements based on data analysis.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including mechanical facilities engineers, will be essential to ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical systems. The candidate will assist in the planning and execution of electrical-related projects and upgrades.
In the event of an electrical emergency, the successful candidate will act as a first responder, implementing emergency procedures to safeguard datacenter operations. They will coordinate with external vendors for specialized electrical repairs.
Maintaining accurate records of electrical equipment, maintenance activities, and incidents will be crucial. The candidate will contribute to the development and updating of electrical procedures and documentation.
Requirements- Proven experience as a Facilities Engineer with a strong focus on electrical systems in a datacenter environment.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, UPS systems, and backup generators.
- Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and regulations relevant to datacenter operations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with an electrically biased perspective.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Electrical Engineering degree, Apprenticeship qualifications or equivalent).
We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
