**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Museum Skills Manager. This exciting opportunity is part of our efforts to provide high-quality services to our community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing programs that promote skills development in the cultural and creative sector. This includes our Future Skills program, Youth Panel, student placements, school work experience, and supported placements.

This role reports to the Audience Development Manager and is equivalent to a manager-level position outside of the local government sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for museums, arts, and heritage, and be an enthusiastic advocate for our work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver programs that promote skills development in the cultural and creative sector
  • SUPervise and motivate staff to achieve program goals
  • Collaborate with learning organizations, agencies, and educational establishments to develop partnerships
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace culture

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong background in career development and skills training
  • Experience working in the cultural and creative sector
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and persuasive skills
  • A keen interest in museums, arts, and heritage

Salary:** £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
