About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and caring individual to join our team as a Support Worker at Fethneys in Worthing. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and independence of our customers with severe physical disabilities and acquired brain injuries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personal Care: Assist customers with daily life tasks including personal care, medication, and mealtimes.
  • Escorting and Support: Escort and assist customers in and around the service, at external events, and appointments.
  • Person Centred Approach: Support our Person Centred approach, encouraging maximum independence for our customers and helping to achieve individual aspirations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date and accurate records.

Requirements

  • Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Flexibility: Work flexibly and creatively with customers and their families.
  • Personal Care Experience: Ideally have personal care experience.
  • Teamwork: Be able to work under pressure and as a team.
  • Flexibility and Rota: Flexibility to work within rostered hours and prepared to participate in an on-call rota where required.
