About the Role

We're seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Shift Leader at Wegmans. As a Shift Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of customer service-focused team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage store operations during daytime and nighttime hours, acting as a key leader and liaison among teams and departments throughout the store.
  • Partner with department management to prioritize and delegate tasks, ensuring the Front End/customer checkout operations run efficiently.
  • Manage the performance of a team of Customer Service employees, providing resources, training, feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers and employees alike, championing our values and standards throughout the store.
  • React quickly to situations that arise, partnering with store leadership to problem-solve operational challenges.
  • Participate in and/or lead special projects and assignments across the store to enhance the Company culture.

Requirements

  • 1 or more years of work experience, preferably in customer service, or a college degree.
  • Computer skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and handle interruptions in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading a team.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new situations and subject matters.
