About the Role
  • This Senior Financial Controller position will be responsible for monitoring the ongoing financial performance of each job, preparing monthly project accounts, forecasts and budgets, and ensuring all commercial and financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • You will provide ongoing and regular commercial analysis and information regarding expenditures, commitments, and the financial performance of the contract, supporting the Projects Team in achieving their objectives.
  • Ensuring that internal cost reporting for the contract meets corporate accounting and Commercial department requirements, and providing ongoing analysis to track recovery against costs and highlight and resolve any associated issues in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring and providing feedback relative to KPI performance, highlighting areas where improvement is necessary to optimise financial return.
  • Liaising with commercial administrators to review invoices, ensuring they are presented to the Client correctly and in a timely manner, and obtaining approval from project management.
  • Monitoring outstanding debtors, addressing any commercial problems, and optimising cash collection.
  • Identifying opportunities for revenue growth and cost minimisation, enhancing contract margins.
  • Performing labour and 3rd party reconciliations on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Understanding commercial terms and administration requirements for allocated contracts, assisting in managing and mitigating risks associated with contract delivery.
  • Providing advice and support to Project Teams regarding commercial aspects of contracts.
  • Collating relevant start-up information for jobs/phases and instigating contract set up as appropriate.
  • Ensuring all activities across projects, including minor estimates or CTRs, are undertaken in line with client approval process and Petrofac DOA prior to commencement.
  • Performing all tasks and preparing all information in accordance with the company's policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Supporting Contract administration, including rate reviews, contract reviews, amendments and incentive performance.
  • Providing commercial support in the preparation of tenders and new business proposals.
