As a Network Construction Engineer, you'll operate assets on the network, assist in scoping and delivering Mains Renewal schemes, and work alongside the Lead Operative to deliver on-site activity. You'll undertake significant construction activity, involving excavation, installation, testing, and commissioning of new mains and assets.
This role requires a 42-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with a half-hour early finish on Fridays. You'll be accountable for undertaking pre-site checks, identifying and health checking key assets, and conducting detailed surveys on DMA renewal options.
Liaise and communicate with Network Control at critical stages of each scheme. You'll work alongside the Network Construction Lead Operative, supporting the Network Construction Operatives in the construction stages. You'll also be responsible for carrying out operational activities on site, such as flushing and cleansing of water mains and hydrants.
