Job Summary

Raytheon UK is seeking a skilled Senior Product Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, manufacture, verification, and validation of board level, sub-system, and system level test equipment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and develop functional test equipment
  • Lead the design and quality of test equipment, providing guidance and leadership to junior engineers
  • Document design specifications and implementation details, participate in design reviews, and uphold design standards and methodologies
  • Realize complex system requirements to provide robust and reliable test hardware solutions
  • Collaborate with team members to agree system designs, interfaces, and protocols
  • Develop test hardware, test software, and procedures to prove correct operation of hardware
  • Provide support to manufacturing, answering product queries and resolving technical issues
  • Manage obsolescence throughout the lifecycle of test hardware
  • Monitor and report progress of test development to immediate supervisor and development team
  • Support company compliance to Health and Safety legislation
  • Ensure all business activity is conducted in line with company values, policies, and ethics codes of conduct

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or related subject (preferably at 2.1 Hons or higher)
  • Test software design experience
  • Excellent knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design
  • Ability to write comprehensive technical design documentation
  • Proven experience in handover and management of designs in production
  • Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills
  • Able to support/debug system integration
  • Good knowledge of MS Office products
  • Good communicator
  • Eligible for MOD Security Clearance to a minimum of SC level
