Lead Veterinary Care Specialist

GLG Vets seeks an experienced Lead Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team in Yeovil, Somerset. As a vital member of our growing veterinary practice, you will provide exceptional veterinary care to animals while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
About the RoleThis full-time position offers a competitive salary up to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals
- Conducting surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries
- Collaborating with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Providing guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness
- Maintaining accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A veterinary degree from a recognized institution
- A valid veterinary license to practice in the UK
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- A compassionate and caring approach to animals
