About the Role

We are seeking a strategic Defence sales leader to drive growth and expansion in our UK-based Defence solutions provider. As Vice President of Sales, you will oversee all sales strategies, lead business development efforts, and direct a high-performing team delivering mission-critical solutions to Defence and government clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy Leadership: Define and execute comprehensive sales plans across air, land, and sea domains, aligning sales goals with company objectives to drive long-term growth in the Defence sector.
  • Market Development: Identify and expand key business opportunities within the Defence and government sectors, leveraging market insights and deep knowledge of Defence technologies to ensure our products meet evolving industry demands.
  • Executive Relationship Management: Establish and strengthen relationships with senior government, military, and Defence stakeholders, fostering long-term partnerships and representing the organisation as a trusted advisor.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and developing talent to support both individual and organisational growth objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product development, marketing, and operations teams to align sales efforts with broader company goals and ensure successful execution of go-to-market strategies.
  • Revenue & Growth Accountability: Oversee revenue targets, budget management, and performance metrics, providing regular updates to executive leadership on key performance indicators and growth milestones.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in senior sales or business development roles within the Defence, government, or high-tech sectors; MOD/NATO or other Defence agency experience is highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing sales strategies, leading complex sales cycles, and driving revenue growth at scale.
  • A strong Defence sector background, ideally including Army, Navy, or RAF experience, and a deep understanding of Defence operations, language, and challenges.
