Electrical Design Engineer Role

We seek a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Automation Experts Ltd.

About the Role

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating accurate and functional electrical system designs using CAD software.

You will work closely with customers to determine their requirements and produce customer documentation, including functional design specifications and system manuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and cost-effectiveness
  • Collaborate with customers to determine their needs and produce relevant documentation
  • Liaise with suppliers to select suitable components
  • Produce bills of materials (BOMs) and support the commissioning team
  • Carry out design calculations to verify suitability and performance
  • Collaborate with design teams to improve functions and processes

Requirements

  • Degree-level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or relevant experience
  • Extensive experience with electrical design software, including Eplan and Autocad Electrical
  • Excellent communication skills, time management, and prioritization
  • Flexibility for occasional travel within the UK and abroad
