About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Support Worker to join our HACS 4 Women service in Bradford. This is a 35-hour per week position that requires a strong commitment to supporting individuals in achieving successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals in maintaining their day-to-day life skills, including supporting them to maintain tenancy agreements.
  • Deliver tenancy ready training and support to enable individuals to move on into permanent housing.
  • Assist individuals in the practical and emotional aspects of maintaining their accommodation and liaising with other support services.
  • Ensure immediate needs are met, such as access to welfare benefits, food, clothing, and healthcare.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with individuals who face multiple disadvantages and have a range of needs, such as drug or alcohol challenges, rough sleeping, mental health challenges, and a history of offending.
  • Health and safety tasks, including the maintenance of properties (e.g., fire alarm tests, property checks, reporting repairs).
  • Equality and diversity, promoting and valuing individuals as unique.
  • Planning, organizing, and prioritizing work to maintain accurate and timely reports.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Approachable, adaptable, and able to remain calm under pressure.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable).
  • An enhanced DBS.
