Quality Inspector Job Description

Corin is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join our team at our manufacturing head office site in Cirencester. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect raw materials and semi-finished products to ensure they meet the agreed specification.
  • Verify product quality using standard metrology equipment, including Shadowgraphs, Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Callipers, Micrometres, etc.
  • Identify and disposition non-conforming products.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with Good Documentation Practice (GDP) for records, including Process Inspection Sheets, Goods Inwards Inspection Sheets, and associated documentation.
  • Record output from inspection activities on the corresponding software, Mestec, Sage.
  • Conduct inspection activities across all areas of the business, including Clean Room, Goods Inwards, Manufacturing Cells, and Final Inspection.
  • Ensure compliance with training activities and support buddy training as required.
  • Ensure that all equipment used is suitable for calibration and is free from damage before use.
  • Retrieve items due for calibration promptly and as per the list supplied.
  • Conduct periodic checks on inspection equipment, including light levels, callipers before use, etc.
  • Undertake other related duties as required, including review of completed batch records (DHR) and release for stock, following documented Work Instructions and Checklists.
  • Liaise with all departments as necessary to resolve and clarify any points of issue resulting from DHR Review and publish regular updates as needed.
  • Perform transactional activities within relevant systems, Sage and QPulse, in support of batch disposition and recording of non-conformance data for trending purposes.
  • Maintain records to ensure safe storage with efficient and effective retrieval, including co-ordination of off-site records.
  • Adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in line with Corin's ISO13485 QMS & Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) FDA21 CFR Part 820.
  • Ensure that process and timeline requirements for Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) are met following Corin's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and in support of Corin's Global Objectives for CAPA.
