Position Overview: As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Yunex Traffic, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality products and contributing to the lifecycle of our mechanical products.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers will be key aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities and Skills:
- Utilize 3D CAD design tools (Autodesk Inventor) and rapid prototyping techniques for design development.
- Conduct and document mechanical design calculations using manual and computational techniques (FEA).
- Demonstrate creativity and innovation in your designs.
- Apply your strong understanding of manufacturing techniques, including fabrication, sheet metal, and plastic injection moulding.
- Familiarity with designing to meet demanding requirements on outdoor equipment such as Ingress protection and wind-loading.
- Collaborate and influence with internal and external design teams to develop optimised design solutions.
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
Non-Essential but Useful:
- Appreciation of electronic and electrical systems.
- Experience in mechanical testing for validation.
- Familiarity with standards such as BS EN 1991-1-4, BS EN40, TSRGD, and DMRB.
