We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our E&M team in Glasgow. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing project guidance and ensuring that maintenance plans are developed and agreed upon.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing detailed workstream plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation.
  • Delivering workstream compliance.
  • Building relationships with internal teams, clients, and contractors, and communicating effectively between all parties.
  • Working with commercial teams to ensure commercial compliance.
  • Attending meetings with clients as required.
  • Managing Health & Safety processes and ensuring adherence to these processes across workstreams.
  • Helping to ensure accurate documentation of HSEQ throughout the office and site teams.
  • Liaising with business support functions to ensure successful delivery of workstreams.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks in workstreams.
  • Effective management and scheduling input to overall programme interfaces with other workstreams and contributing to coordination of third-party stakeholders as required.
  • Reporting daily/weekly to the E&M Director and Delivery Manager on key aspects of progress, issues, and concerns at WGM and client level.
  • Creating and improving an excellent Health and Safety environment with a focus on training and promotion within all workstreams.
  • Ensuring all workstreams are commenced and completed to quality standards and expectations of WGM and clients.
  • Planning resources and identifying workload of current and new workstreams with assistance of Project Engineer, Delivery Manager, and Maintenance Planner.
  • Contributing to effective management of internal skills and resource requirements, where effective and efficient.
  • Providing feedback to Senior Management team at all stages.
  • Supporting workstream set objectives and deliverables.
  • Contributing to ensuring success throughout all workstreams by delivering the programme within compliance periods.
  • Helping to eliminate customer and client complaints on site.
  • Reviewing employee performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Expected to train to Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC) level in relation to WGM Temporary Works Procedures.
  • To carry out duties of Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC), meeting respective technical standard.
  • Duties and responsibilities assigned under WGM Engineering management system, with Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC) expected to follow mandatory temporary works procedures as described in WGM Engineering procedure (TWP1).
  • Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC) responsible to Managing Director for ensuring TW design implemented and in accordance with drawings and specifications.
  • As Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC), confirming competence and relevant up-to-date training, qualifications, and experience appropriate to project and operations.
  • Designated Individual (DI) confirming resources and time available to carry out appointment of Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC), as well as authority to stop work if not satisfactory.

To be considered for this position, you will have at least 2-3 years of previous experience in a similar Project engineering role, ideally within an engineering or similar industry background. You will be ideally qualified to degree level within an engineering discipline. A good understanding of water and waste water industry and processes is preferable. The ability to write detailed reports and have a clear understanding of NEC form of contract is required within the role. Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving license is required for travel to various sites across the country.
