We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sports Coach to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Sports Coach, you will play a crucial role in supporting and engaging children with special educational needs (SEN) through the power of sports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Inclusive Sports Plans: Create and implement sports plans that cater to the diverse needs of all students, promoting fitness, coordination, and social interaction.
  • Foster a Safe and Supportive Environment: Establish a safe and supportive environment where students feel valued and encouraged to participate in physical activities.
  • Work with SEN Staff: Collaborate with SEN staff and other educators to tailor activities to individual needs, ensuring a positive impact on students' lives.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Build strong, trustworthy relationships with students to understand their unique challenges and motivations, employing strategies to manage and positively redirect challenging behaviors.
  • Monitor Progress: Monitor and report on students' progress, adapting plans as necessary to ensure continued engagement and development.
  • Promote Physical Activity: Promote a positive attitude towards physical activity and its benefits for mental and physical health, inspiring students to develop a lifelong love for sports and exercise.

Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Sports Coach, preferably within the education sector, with a strong understanding of special educational needs and experience working with children who have SEN.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Coaching Qualifications: Relevant coaching qualifications and certifications, with the ability to create and adapt inclusive sports plans that meet the needs of all students.
  • Patience and Empathy: Patience, empathy, and a passion for making a difference in children's lives, with the ability to manage challenging behaviors with a calm and positive approach.
