Lead a Care Team in Newton Mearns

As Senior Care Assistant at Mearns View Care Home, you will be responsible for leading our care team and ensuring residents receive the highest standard of care. You'll create a warm, supportive environment and coordinate shifts to maintain a caring, efficient atmosphere.

We're looking for someone with strong leadership skills who can motivate and develop their team, delegating tasks effectively while maintaining a positive working relationship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example and ensure all staff contribute to the smooth running of the home.
  • Resident Support: Assist with daily living activities, prioritizing dignity and independence.
  • Medication Management: Oversee ordering, administration, and documentation, maintaining accurate records.
  • Effective Communication: Engage with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure clear communication.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a team ethos, respecting diversity and promoting a supportive environment.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies, assess situations, and provide or call for assistance as needed.
Requirements:
  • SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is essential; experienced Care Assistants actively working towards their Level 3 are also welcome.
  • Practical Medication Administration with competencies is required.
  • A kind, caring, and compassionate personality with a sense of fun and a commitment to person-centred care.
