We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Planning Expert to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our environmental planning group, you will play a crucial role in supporting the planning and delivery of energy and infrastructure projects.

About the Role

Your primary responsibility will be to advise clients on environmental planning matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies. You will work closely with colleagues across various disciplines to deliver integrated solutions that meet our clients' needs.

With significant experience in environmental planning, preferably in the energy sector, you will have a broad understanding of environmental issues and disciplines. A working knowledge of consenting regimes and development management procedures is essential, as well as experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing projects.

You will contribute to the preparation of environmental impact assessments, environmental statements, and other reports related to environmental and planning-related work streams. Your ability to manage and mentor junior team members will be an asset in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and delivery of energy and infrastructure projects
  • Advise clients on environmental planning matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies
  • Prepare environmental impact assessments, environmental statements, and other reports
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage projects
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in environmental planning or a related field
  • Significant experience in environmental planning, preferably in the energy sector
  • Chartered status or working towards chartership
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
