Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Reporting Radiographer to join our team as you begin your journey toward becoming a fully qualified Reporting Radiographer. In this role, you will develop the skills needed to contribute to our Reporting Service and work towards ensuring that imaging examinations are accurately reported within the required time frames.

Main Duties of the Job
  1. Image Interpretation: Learn to undertake image interpretation within your training scope, aiming to provide detailed reports under supervision upon qualification. This includes learning to assist referring clinicians in determining diagnoses where applicable.
  2. Keep an accurate reflective portfolio to demonstrate learning and seeking advice and or feedback when necessary
  3. Workload Management: Develop skills in organizing and managing your workload in areas of delegated responsibility. Learn to maximize efficiency using available resources and manage patient priority effectively.
  4. Optimal time management to pass the University modules
  5. Conducting Examinations: Practice conducting diagnostic imaging examinations across a range of modalities. Focus on producing high-quality images while following departmental protocols and maintaining safe practice within your training scope.

  1. Band 6 or above with significant years of experience

Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  1. Degree at 2.2 or above or Professional Diploma in Radiography or its equivalent in a relevant discipline
  2. If English is not your first language you require an IELTS overall score of 6.0 with no element below 5.5 for most standard undergraduate and postgraduate courses. There are some exceptions and if the IELTS requirement differs it will be specified on the course page.

Experience

Essential Criteria

  1. Relevant post qualification experience as a senior radiographer in multiple modalities as demonstrated by portfolio

Desirable Criteria

  1. Experience of teaching and supervision in radiology

Knowledge

Essential Criteria

  1. Knowledge of standards and responsibilities expected of a reporting radiographer according to local reporting radiographer policy and procedure.

Desirable Criteria

  1. Knowledge of service redesign / modernisation techniques

Skills

Essential Criteria

  1. Knowledge of service redesign / modernisation techniques
  2. Ability to work under pressure and as a team member
  3. Ability to develop and deliver teaching programmes to MDT
