Cloud Infrastructure Analyst

Salary: Circa £50,000

Location: Bristol only

As a key member of our data and analytics platform fin ops team, you will play a crucial role in improving the effectiveness, cost efficiency, and sustainability of Aviva's AWS infrastructure. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying and delivering cost, energy consumption, and simplification initiatives that drive business value.

This role is ideal for someone with extensive AWS knowledge who is passionate about cost reduction and helping Aviva achieve its Net Zero goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct continuous analysis of AWS cloud infrastructure, including business usage trends, utilizing tools such as AWS console, Datadog, and Cloudability.
  2. Produce reports on progress and success of initiatives, including identifying opportunities, risks, and blockers, and evidence of achieved benefits.
  3. Collaborate with business stakeholders to optimize AWS infrastructure usage, saving time, money, and energy consumption, while ensuring initiatives do not adversely impact internal business processes or customer experience.
Requirements:
  1. Extensive knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure and standards, including experience working in a mature AWS cloud environment; AWS Cloud certification is a plus.
  2. Strong IT background and analytical skills.
