Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Manager to lead our data architecture efforts and facilitate product launches and roadmaps. As a key member of our data team, you will be responsible for collaborating with business managers, data scientists, and data engineers to design, build, and implement data platforms that provide informed insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of data engineers to design, build, and implement data platforms
  • Oversee the development of data architecture and ensure alignment with Centrica's enterprise data model
  • Supervise the implementation of logical and physical data models
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to comprehend data landscapes and ecosystems
  • Ensure efficient and appropriate technologies are utilized for data curation
  • Promote the adoption of curated data across the enterprise
  • Lead, assist, and mentor data engineers in analysing data and constructing robust data transformation jobs and pipelines

About You

We're looking for a talented individual with a strong background in data engineering practices, tools, and methodologies. You should have experience in constructing and upholding logical and physical data models, as well as proficiency in relational and non-relational database theory. You should also be skilled in developing and maintaining code using traditional and big data technologies for data processing and transformation.
