Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our DevOps team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, security, and performance for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) using IaC tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Implement security best practices and manage security tools to ensure compliance across platforms.
  • Monitor and analyze performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies for high availability and scalability.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents efficiently, collaborating to identify root causes and implement preventative measures.
  • Embrace automation to streamline tasks and processes, focusing on automating repetitive tasks for efficiency.
  • Work closely with other teams, fostering a collaborative environment, and communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring transparency.
  • Stay up-to-date on cloud technologies and best practices, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Some experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and automation, with a strong emphasis on AWS.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services and tools.
  • Experience with GCP and Azure services is a plus.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes is desired, though not required.
  • Experience with IaC tools, such as CloudFormation and Terraform, and experience with managing multi-cloud deployments.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Grafana, across multiple cloud platforms.
  • Desired experience with Serverless objects, as we have many automations running on Serverless technologies like AWS Lambda, AWS DynamoDB, and AWS Amplify.
  • Excellent scripting and automation skills, including Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements across multiple cloud platforms.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for learning new technologies and solving complex problems.
  • Must be residing in the UK for the last 3 years due to NPPV3 vetting requirements.
