As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering technical excellence and supply chain integrity through the management and coordination of our supply base.
Key Responsibilities- Supply Chain Mapping and Assessment: Map and assess our supply chain, identifying areas for consolidation and enhancement, while working with our purchasing team to maximize visibility, integrity, and quality.
- Cost Optimization and Supply Chain Efficiency: Collaborate with our purchasing team to optimize cost and the efficient supply of raw materials while retaining technical functionality.
- Business Performance Monitoring: Monitor business departmental key performance indicators, adjusting activities to ensure targets are achieved through site and supplier support.
- Category Supply Chain Documentation: Document and update all relevant category supply chains to enable rapid responses to issues with legislative and customer policies, providing a single point of contact for the business.
- Technical Innovation and Protocol Development: Create and communicate protocols aligned with our technical innovation strategy with site purchasing teams and suppliers to establish best practice for testing and validation.
- Supplier Review and Quality Improvement: Undertake regular supplier reviews to support our audit team, identify opportunities to improve performance in the quality of the raw material.
- Customer Liaison and Compliance: Liaise with customers in response to key supply chains and working groups, ensuring compliance with codes of practice.
- Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure that a safe working environment exists for all colleagues and that our department meets the standards set out in our Health, Safety, and Environment policy.
- Education and Qualifications: Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent food manufacturing experience.
- Food Hygiene and HACCP Certification: Advanced food hygiene level 4 qualification, level 3 HACCP certified, and lead assessor qualified.
- Retailer Liaison and Food Legislation Knowledge: Retailer liaison knowledge and experience, food legislation and legal knowledge.
- Integrated Supply Chain Knowledge: Knowledge and experience of integrated supply chains.
- Accreditation Schemes and Data Analysis: Knowledge of relevant accreditation schemes and ability to analyze data and trends, developing meaningful solutions and action plans.
