Pertemps is currently recruiting for a Financial Operations Assistant to support our client in Aylesbury.
Job Summary:
The Financial Operations Assistant will be responsible for processing payments, invoices, income, and receipts, and entering data into SAGE 50. This role will also involve preparing payroll for external submission, working closely with the accountant on administrative duties, and preparing yearly accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payments, invoices, income, and receipts, and enter data into SAGE 50
- Prepare payroll for external submission
- Work closely with the accountant on administrative duties and prepare yearly accounts
- Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
- Complete VAT returns
- Deal with petty cash
- Record any inconsistencies to help the accountants reconcile inaccuracies
- Process bank transfer requests
- Scan, file, and log account documents
Requirements:
- Financial-related qualification (AAT or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping or financial-related role
- Good knowledge and experience with a variety of accounting software such as Xero, Sage 50, and QuickBooks
- Be highly efficient and organized
- Excellent attention to detail
