The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform and Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Nigel Wright Group on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This exciting opportunity will see you working within our Supply and Head Office Connectivity product team, supporting the replacement of our current connectivity approaches and architecture with a cloud-centric connectivity platform.

This role is focused on delivering high levels of performance, resilience, and security to ensure a robust and business-aligned connectivity service to our internal colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud-centric connectivity solutions using core networking technologies, including routing and switching, internet access approaches, VLSM, and VPN.
  • Develop and maintain wireless LAN technologies and implementations, particularly Cisco Aironet.
  • Implement and manage firewalling technologies, firewall policy implementation, and overall firewall management - Cisco and Palo Alto firewall experience is highly beneficial.
  • Collaborate with service providers for WAN and internet connectivity.
  • Build trust and effective working relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with IaC technologies, such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Knowledge of Cisco aligned products, especially Catalyst products, Cisco Catalyst/DNA Centre, and Cisco SASE solutions.
  • Experience with Azure networking, particularly WAN/VPN and other connectivity approaches.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
