Key Responsibilities- Provide and maintain high standards of nursing care in a welcoming and safe environment.
- Act as an advocate for patients and families, providing support and directing them to relevant services.
- Enhance clinical skills and knowledge to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care.
- Perform procedures such as phototherapy, suture removal, wound reviews, and dressing changes after appropriate training.
- Assist in minor surgery by preparing patients for surgical procedures and assisting doctors with dermatological surgeries.
- Offer specialist advice and assess patient care in outpatient clinics.
- Monitor patients' responses to treatment and ensure necessary tests are conducted.
- Take personal responsibility for ongoing professional development through clinical supervision, appraisal, and learning opportunities.
- Participate in mandatory training and clinical education meetings.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with NMC Standards.
- Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures and the NMC Code of Conduct.
- Produce evidence of annual NMC registration.
- Membership in relevant national nursing forums is encouraged.
