Job Title: Container Driver HGV1 - Temporary Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Container Driver HGV1 to join our team on a temporary contract basis. As a Container Driver HGV1, you will be responsible for driving HGV1 articulated container automatic gearshift lorries, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to DP World London Gateway procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive HGV1 articulated container automatic gearshift lorries
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections
  • Adhere to DP World London Gateway procedures while inside Port areas
  • Maintain accurate records of break times according to WTD regulations
  • Adhere to both agencies and client's regulations and procedures

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC Card)
  • Valid Digital Tachograph card
  • No more than 6 points on the licence
  • At least 2 years of experience of HGV1 CONTAINER driving
  • Experience in Containers
  • Ability to use electronic devices (EPODs/smartphones/instruction screens)
  • Good English level (speaking, writing, understanding)
  • Good working knowledge of UK motorway road network and WTD regulations
