Recruit Build, a successful privately owned client-side developer based in Yorkshire just east of Wakefield, is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join their team.

The company specializes in high-quality residential developments between 100 and 400 homes per site. This role will focus on construction-related estimation tasks.

In collaboration with the pre-construction manager, development manager, and design team, you will be involved in all projects, including:

  1. Conducting thorough analysis of project specifications
  2. Identifying and managing potential risks throughout the project lifecycle
  3. Creating detailed cost estimates through measurement for materials, labor, and subcontractors
  4. Negotiating with subcontractors to ensure cost-effectiveness
  5. Preparing tenders, material take-offs, and final project costs

Requirements:

  1. Degree or BTEC Diploma in construction or a related field
  2. Previous experience in new build housing is preferred but not essential
  3. Proficiency in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
