Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Podiatrist to join the Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust team. This role involves providing community-based podiatry care to patients deemed clinically at risk or high risk within Gateshead.

Main Responsibilities
  • To provide podiatry care in community clinics, patients' homes, care homes, and as hospital inpatients.
  • To identify diabetic risk factors and categorize patients into appropriate risk bands.
  • To manage chronic disease conditions, autoimmune diseases, and high-risk infectious diseases.
  • To supervise junior staff and undertake clinical assessments and treatment.
Requirements
  1. Degree in Podiatry or equivalent qualification.
  2. HCPC registration and car ownership with full valid license.
  3. Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) relating to Band 6 roles.
  4. Previous NHS experience at Band 5 level for a minimum of 12 months.
