About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our UK Fulfillment Centers as a General Manager's Assistant. This exciting role will provide an opportunity to work closely with the site's General Manager and be responsible for coordinating engagement events, managing budgets, and driving communication within the Fulfillment Center.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and coordinate onsite employee engagement events, including competitions, celebrations, and handouts, and manage associated budgets and deadlines.
  2. Prepare posters and campaigns to promote events and work with stakeholders to deliver and implement site projects.
  3. Manage communication channels across the Fulfillment Center, including newsletters, corporate communications, and site-specific message boards and feedback channels.
  4. Act as the site Charity Champion, coordinating the site charity budget and working with central teams to embed network initiatives.
  5. Manage the network recognition programs onsite for associates and drive participation amongst the leadership team and associate population.
  6. Be responsible for the overall direction and coordination of the leadership team's travel and administration, including diary management and recording actions of meetings.
  7. Work closely with support staff to build, coordinate, and secure robust support and resources for projects and initiatives.
  8. Welcome and coordinate visitors on behalf of the General Manager and leadership team.
Requirements
  1. Experience managing events and activities for large numbers, including budget management, supplier sourcing, oversight, and delivery.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of groups, including senior management, peers, and outside contacts.
  3. Ability to prioritize and deliver multiple assignments while serving as a point of contact for a large team.
  4. Diary management experience at Director and/or Senior Manager level, including arranging travel and conference calls.
  5. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  6. High levels of integrity and discretion.
  7. Ability to make a positive contribution to the company's culture that fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
  8. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  9. English is mandatory; any other language is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Previous working experience within a large-scale rapid and process-driven environment.
  2. Degree-level qualification or equivalent.
