Job Description

GSL Education is proud to support a SEND school in Bodmin, seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.

The school provides a unique education package for students with complex needs or EHCP pupils at risk of residential placements. The pupils have failed to thrive in secondary and special schools or are returning from out-of-county placements.

Every child has high levels of support, including one-to-one support and bespoke timetables following thematic learning experiences. A wide range of personalised learning in and out of the classroom engages students, builds resilience, and provides a foundation for rapid academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and implement effective interventions to address behaviour challenges and promote positive outcomes.
Requirements:
  • A valid UK driving license and access to a car for business use.
  • Business insurance for vehicle usage.
  • Full-time availability with an ASAP start date.
