Sustainability Director

We are seeking a Sustainability Director to join our team and play a critical role in driving our airport's Net Zero Plan. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to make a real impact and contribute to the growth of a world-class airport.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our long-term climate adaptation strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify key investments and develop business cases. They will also be expected to act as a technical SME on climate adaptation and future trends, and represent our organization on climate adaptation with key external stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in climate risk and adaptation, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience of leading complex projects and delivering business outcomes. A proven commercial understanding and ability to communicate complex topics in a clear and simple way are essential.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop and implement our long-term climate adaptation strategy.
• Act as a technical SME on climate adaptation and future trends.
• Identify key investments and develop business cases to deliver the climate adaptation strategy.
• Work closely with key business functions to plan and drive the overall plan of activity necessary to deliver the adaptation strategy.
• Represent us on climate adaptation with key external stakeholders.

Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
