Job Summary

RPS Group is seeking a highly experienced Project Director to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our Project and Cost Management team, you will be responsible for delivering challenging projects and leading a team of Project Managers.

About the Role

As a Project Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of Project Managers and mentoring and coaching more junior members of the team
  • Taking the lead on client relationships within the sector
  • Cost planning, including producing cost plans for commercial purposes
  • Preparation of tender documents
  • Preparation of reports through the project process
  • Pre and post contract duties on a variety of public and commercial projects
  • Visiting sites to conduct assessment of interim valuations and final accounts
  • Performing the role of employer's agent or contract administration services

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Working knowledge of JCT Contract
  • Ability to implement the principles of construction contract practice
  • A strong desire to learn and develop professional skills
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills
  • IT skills - Excel essential
  • Strong Health and Safety awareness
  • Pragmatic approach and ability to amend planned activities at short notice
