About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our Women and Children's team at West Middlesex Hospital. As a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, you will provide a specialist clinical pharmacy service to patients within the Specialist Care Division and West London Children's Healthcare.

You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, legal, and accurate use of medicines within the specialty and will support and supervise less experienced pharmacists on rotation.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in hospital pharmacy, including providing clinical pharmacy services, and will be able to provide training and supervision to trainee and rotational pharmacists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a specialist clinical pharmacy service to patients within the Specialist Care Division and West London Children's Healthcare
  • Support and supervise less experienced pharmacists on rotation
  • Provide training and supervision to trainee and rotational pharmacists
  • Work closely with Medicines Management Technicians (MMTs) and supervise junior pharmacy staff
  • Participate in ward rounds to integrate into the multidisciplinary team and raise the pharmacy profile
Requirements
  • Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy Practice or equivalent relevant general experience
  • Registered as a practising pharmacist with the GPhC
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy Practice / equivalent experience or FS2 (Minimum 18 months experience)
